A customer has IC 30FI only freezer integrated unit which is leaking and has frost buildup on the bottom. Our tech runs built-in self-diagnostics and has found some error codes. These error codes pointed to misreading temperature information from evaporator sensor. We find out that based on false information from sensor freezer ended defrost cycle too fast, that’s why frost on the coil was not melting down completely. This also caused clogging of the drain with ice buildup. Our tech remove all shelvings, sliders, icemaker and back panels to have access to internal parts. We forced manually defrost cycle and test multiple components which are responsible for this cycle. Our tech replaced the bad temperature sensor with the new one, removed the frost buildup and cleaned the drain tube. After we delete all error code history and check for new error codes. We also did recommend maintenance for the unit.
