Customer complained about high temperature in the freezer. We disassembled freezer compartment and found frozen water accumulation in the drain, pan and also frozen evaporator fan motor. We tested all sensors, defrosted thermostat, drained pan heater, drained heater and evaporator fan motor. All parts and sensors were in specs and functioning well.
The source of the problem was clogged drain. The water after the defrost cycle was not able to flow into drip pan under the fridge. It was accumulating in the drip pan in the freezer. After multiple defrost cycles frozen water level became so big that it blocked evaporator fan motor. The motor was not creating airflow through the cold evaporator coil, and this caused the inefficient temperature in the freezer.
With the steamer, we removed all frost and clean drain hose. As a result, we had fixed refrigerator.
