A customer has 20 month old Sub Zero Bi -42 unit. They experience water leak from the fridge section, water follows freezer door seal and creates frost build up in the freezer. Also, some portion of water runs on the floor. We disassembled all shelving from the fridge, remove back panel and find the clogged drain. We use a steamer to clean the drain tube hose. Steam was running through the drain hose, but after we pour water in the drain pan and the water was still not running to the drain pan. We decided to remove the fridge from the cabinet and check whole drain line. After removing the fridge we figured out that the blockage was on the tip of the drain hose. Steam was able to run through air intake hole on the top of the drain line. But water could not pass blockage and run up to the air canal. We modified drain hose tip by cutting edge, which does not allow create the blockage in the future. We put all the drain tubing and panels back. Tested the drain line and put the shelving back.
Another happy customer.
