Customer purchase Sub Zero IT-36CI unit 20 months ago. After that, they experience the same issue again and again. Sub Zero made some design flows with new model refrigerators. They install too little diameter of the drain tube. This causes problems with air/condensation airflow and has blockages in the drain system. For some Bult In units, Sub Zero created kits which resolve this issue. For this particular unit, there is no factory repair kit, so we have to clean the drain tube manually using the steamer. Because of design steamer can not just go through the whole drain tube and remove buildup, because of the air intake on the drain tube. The only solution is to run the mechanical flexible line inside the drain tube, otherwise, we have to remove the unit from cabinet and clean drain tubes on the back. Our technician managed to get to the drain tube under the fridge and blow steam into the pipe. This procedure removed the blockage.
